Birthday Fun

We celebrated the girls' first birthday with family in New Jersey.


Claire and Keira got to spend some time with their cousin Leo.

Birthday Fashion

On their first birthday, Keira and Claire wore dresses that their Grandpa Manny got them from India.

They also wore party hats... briefly.

After a while, Mama and Grandma had to take over on the hat wearing.

Birthday Cake

Leo led the singing of "Happy Birthday."



Then Claire and Keira got to try the cake... mmmmm!

Going for a Ride

Daddy took the girls for a ride in Mommy's shoe storage box.

Music Video Debut

Claire, Keira, and Mommy appeared in the music video for "The Lactating Man," by Adam Richard Jones. Their roles are small, but look for them in the scenes with a lot of moms and babies.

South Street Seaport

On Sunday, we went all the way to Manhattan to exchange a computer... bor-ing...! But the store was closed for Rosh Hashanah. So we thought we'd do something fun instead. We went to South Street Seaport.


We posed with the Brooklyn Brodge in the background,


and saw the "tall ships."


Since we had not planned to stay for dinner, Mom and Dad grabbed some Beefaroni at the local deli. Can you believe that?


Claire would NOT eat any, but Keira and her shirt both had their share.

First Swimming Lesson

Claire and Keira did great! Thanks to Grandma for taking the photos.

New Carseats

We decided to try out our new carseats on the living room floor. Keira is working on figuring out how to undo the buckle.

At the Mall Again...

Party

Yesterday, we attended a birthday party for the girls' friends Mark and Mia, who were turning one.

Diet Coke

Keira and Claire still drink milk and formula, but when Daddy let them play with Mommy's "drinky," they seized the opportunity.

Pool

While the summer weather lasted, we managed to get in a dip in the pool.

Family Visit

Last weekend, Keira and Claire had a great time visiting family in Virginia.

Getting Spoiled by Grandma & Grandpa

The girls are getting the VIP treatment from Grandma and Grandpa this week. Grandma made them their first pancakes, in the shape of a "C" and a "K."

Grandpa blew up a baby pool for them--all by himself.

So far the weather and our schedules have not allowed Keira and Claire to play in the pool with water but--even better--they got a pool full of presents!
